Challenge

Standard freezing solutions offered by OEMs did not fit within the client’s existing layout. Customization was either unavailable or commercially unviable. Available vertical space remained underutilized, while increasing throughput demands required a more efficient and integrated freezing approach resulting in:

  • 01. Limited expansion within existing footprint
  • 02. Underutilized vertical space above blast freezer
  • 03. Inability to meet higher throughput requirements with standard systems

Any alternate supplier had to meet one non-negotiable condition: increase freezing capacity within the existing layout, without requiring structural modifications or disrupting ongoing operations.


Objective

Design a freezing solution that could integrate within the existing facility footprint, utilize vertical space efficiently, deliver required temperature drop and throughput and avoid major structural or layout modifications.
